River Clare:- The Clare and Robe Rivers produce trout to mainly dry fly on summer evenings and sometimes during daytime. The Robe flows through Ballinrobe and enters Lough Mask, while the Clare flows into Lough Corrib, on the eastern side.

River Finn (Donegal) : - there is more than 25 miles of salmon fishing on the river from Flushtown right up to Bellanmore Bridge and part of the Reelan too. There is good Sea Trout fishing at Liscooley and Killygordan and from Ballybofey to Bellanamore Bridge.

River Drowes: - This is a short river and is a premier spring and summer salmon water and not without justification as it can produce in excess of a 1000 fish a year. There are few sea trout but the brown trout can be very good.
The Drowes is the earliest opening salmon river in the UK and Ireland. You can go fishing here on New Years day if you are sober enough with the chance to be the first angler to take the first fish of the year as this happens most years on opening day.

River Owenwee: - This River is sometimes also known as the Belclare River. It is a small spate river, 3 miles west of Westport in Co Mayo. It is 11 miles long and flows into Westport Bay. It gets a fair run of grilse and sea-trout and the best fishing is in the last 2 miles

River Gweebarra: - The Gweebarra has a good run of spring fish during April & May, with grilse running from the end of June and good-sized summer salmon running from August onwards. The river also has some great runs of sea trout

River Duff: - This is a prolific little spate river for salmon. The Duff gets a good run of summer salmon and grilse. The fish start to enter the river at the end of May with the peak of the run in July / August. With good water levels it can fish through to the end of September.

A permit for the right hand bank, from the main road bridge downstream to the sea and 850 yards upstream (same bank), can be purchased on the river bank, Tel: 0868135429.

River Owenea: - The river has a run of spring salmon, grilse, sea trout and has a resident stock of small brown trout.

River Glen: - The Glen Fishery gets a good run of grilse and late summer salmon. It fishes from May to September with the best month being July for grilse. The Glen system is also noted for its sea trout. The Slieve League Anglers Association controls the Glen River Fishery.

River Erne: - The Erne is fished primarily for sea trout though there are also the occasional salmon coming up the estuary.

River Lackagh: - The Lackagh is a short river of only 2 miles flowing from Glen Lough to Sheephaven Bay, which is noted for its good runs of spring salmon, grilse and sea trout.

River Moy: - The River Moy rises in the Ox Mountains and flows approximately 110Km (68 Miles) to where it enters the Atlantic Ocean at Killala Bay. The River Moy is rated as one of the best Salmon Rivers in Europe, with catches of between 8,000 and 10,000 Salmon annually to the Rod and Line.

River Feale: - The River Feale is rated as one of the outstanding Salmon and Sea Trout rivers in Ireland. In a good season it is estimated to produce at least 1,500 Salmon and Grilse and well over 2,000 Sea Trout to rod and line.

Delphi Fishery: - The Delphi Fishery offers excellent fly fishing for spring salmon and grilse from February to September on a variety of lakes and a gorgeously pretty semi-spateyriver. This popular little fishery has seen record catches in recent years due to a Ranga-style smolt release programme. The ten year annual catches now average over 500 salmon.

River Erriff: - The River Erriff is one of the premier salmon fishing rivers in Ireland. A spate river, it is characterised by lively streams and deep fish-holding pools. Ballynahinch Fishery: - Ballynahinch Fishery is world renowned as one of the finest salmon and sea trout rivers in Ireland. The Ballynahinch Catchment drains an area of 68 square miles and is a diverse system of interconnected loughs and rivers, drained by the Ballynahinch River. The river is two and half miles long and has a prolific reputation as every salmon and seatrout enters the fishery on their migration through the system.

Costello and Fermoyle Fisheries: - The Casla River system is located approximately 20 miles west of Galway City on the coast road, before the village of Costello.
